Noah Hunt and Jason Dennie acoustic set
December 29, 2005
December 29th 2005 ~ Noah Hunt & Jason Dennie played Stanley's Pub.
The Thursday evening show began at 9pm and was the first time they have played together in four years.  The first set was as promised a sit down "unplugged" version of new material they plan to release as a follow up album to
Long Black Train. Noah told the story behind each song, really giving the audience personal insight on the motivation for his song writing.  Noah also provided some history to some songs off LBT and The Flood.  Noah and Jason really compliment one another.  The music they make together is truly amazing. Next, Jason played a couple of his own tunes followed by a short break.

Together again at Stanley's Pub!
The second part of the show began at about 11pm and featured Jason and Noah playing songs from the popular Long Black Train album as well as some favorite cover songs they usually play.  A highlight of the set happened when  Noah's dad came up to perform with them "Cuba on my Mind", the song he wrote for the LBT album.  Having read some of the interviews about the background of this personal song made it all that much more interesting. It's easy to see where Noah get's his intensity from.
