CONCERT REVIEW POST

Little Bit Two (7/24/06 8:24 pm) THE KWS BAND SHOW The boys, as always, performed a kick ass show. I do have a complaint though. They did NOT play long enough. Only about and hour and a half. It was a real nice area for the concert. The stage was at the bottom of a hill and so the hill is tiered sort of so there was plenty of space to sit and watch. My friend and I sat off to the side for the opening act, James Montgomery.   When the boys came on we got up and went right up to the very front of the stage, dead center. I got lots of picks, 3 rolls of film with 36 pics on each. It was cloudy and rained off and on most of the day but it was warm, actually pretty muggy. It wasn't real crowded maybe about 1000 people but there was so much room it looked like there wasn't a huge crowd. Big mix of people, bikers, yuppies, old and young. The guys looked good, healthy and happy. Seemed like they were feeling rushed by their people though. Spring house hotel is not their typical venue lets say, so they seemed a little disoriented. They came in on the high speed ferry from, I believe Connecticut.  I am pretty sure they left right after the show on the high speed ferry to head up to New Hampshire. Their road crew was on the traditional ferry with us.

So they kicked ass as usual~ I have the set list. - born with a broken heart -I'm leaving you -Shame - The place you're in -Let go -Aberdeen -Dust my broom -Long gone -True Lies - Blue on black -Shotgun blues -While we cry They did another song, which I can't remember. And as always finished it off with voodoo child.

They didn't do an encore, they did their bow and left the stage and got in a van and went back to the small house of the hotel. As soon as thry left the stage, road crew came running out and started cleaning up. My friend stuck around the stage and got the set list off the floor for me. I walked back up the hill to meet my aunts, and saw the van with the guys in it drive past. They were at least waving to us.     They have a new keyboard player, an older fella, and a new bassist or rythym guitarist, not sure which he is, but he's a young fella. Don't know either guys names.  Also the drummer from double trouble, whose name I just can't remember. I looked on their web site, these guys are pretty new or the web site hasn't been updated in a while cause they aren't on it. They are not the same guys who toured with them the last time I saw them play.
